When I was a kid I was a huge Legion fan and a few years back I was fortunate enough to work on the Johnny DC version of the book which was based on the short-lived cartoon. Just for fun, I thought I’d try and put together a poster featuring the classic version of the team. I also threw in the Substitute Legion, the Super Pets, and a few other surprises. The colours are by Jason Millet.

Several years ago I illustrated a four issue mini-series called Growing Up Enchanted which is now being collected into a trade that will be released through AAM/MARKOSIA. It’s an all-ages fantasy story that centres around a young girl called Olianna and her family. In the story Oli befriends a young dragon and is trying to keep it safe from her father – - a dragon hunter. She also has to deal with her troublesome baby bother, her first day of school and a bully who won’t stop picking on her. But she has one thing going for her – - magical abilities. Well, that and the help of her friend Bradley, a giant, and Thomas, a troll.

We’ve put up the cover of the trade here on the site, and you can also check out the latest Previews for some more info. It’s on page 186. It’s also a staff pick and is highlighted at the front of the catalogue. The original series was nominated for an Eisner when it was first released. It’s written by Jack Briglio who has worked on Scooby Doo and The Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century for DC, as well as writing a series called Digger for IDW.
